This photo was taken on a snowshoe trip on the Lost Lake Trail from the Hessie Trailhead near Nederland, Colorado. The old cabin is deserted now. To me, accentuating the forest rising high above the cabin makes the cabin seem small, and makes me think of how hard it must have been to eek out a life in the wilderness.
